The homestay program offers numerous benefits for both local families and international students. Hosting an international student can be a rewarding experience, providing cultural insights and opportunities to develop lasting and life-changing friendships. The College makes monthly payments to homestay families to cover accommodation, food and supervision.
For international students, living with an Australian family accelerates English language development and allows them to participate in family outings and social activities. This enriches their understanding of Australian culture and lifestyle, helping them adapt quickly to life in Brisbane.
Christian families are invited to join the College homestay program. By hosting an international student, you can earn extra income and have the opportunity to share Christ鈥檚 love with others.
Homestay Coordinator
Mrs Hayley Jakins is our highly experienced Homestay Coordinator. With her office conveniently located near classrooms, she is easily accessible to students needing assistance.
Mrs Jakins carefully screens all homestay families and maintains regular contact to ensure student welfare. She personally welcomes new student at the airport and escorts them to their homestay family.
